The Inami–Monnai Laboratory’s project “MoHeat Evo” will be exhibited at CES 2026, one of the world’s largest technology trade shows, held in the United States in January 2026!
This exhibition will take place within JAPAN TECH, a pavilion where several Japanese startup companies and research teams jointly showcase their innovations.
MoHeat Evo is a headphone-style device equipped with a non-contact, high-speed thermal stimulation system that uses visible-light LED heating and an ethanol-mist cooling mechanism. By presenting warm–cool sensations synchronized with audio stimuli, the system enables a multimodal thermal experience. This device opens up new possibilities for sharing emotional uplift, excitement, and enhanced communication experiences.
This research is part of a collaborative project with the Suntory Global Innovation Center, which has been ongoing since October 2023.
